The Nirbhaya NariShakti Awards 2017, created waves and inspired numerous women. The event which took place on March 8th INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY at Mumbai’s Iskcon Temple Auditorium felicitated acid attack victims along with female celebrities who have been an outstanding asset to the society.
In a world where women have forgotten to love and respect themselves, a handful of men continue to show respect for women. Honoring women, actor Pankit Thakker tookup the initiative to honor the bravest of the brave with the Nirbhaya NariShakti Awards 2017 in collaboration with Trupti Vora, who represents the NGO, INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION BUREAU.
Social Activist Trupti Vora, made it her mission to be a leading voice against the violence occurring towards women worldwide. As part of her stance, she played a major role in the International Human Rights Protection Bureau’s event Nirbhaya Nari Shakti Awards 2017, The Shakti of Acid Attack Victims hosted by Pankit Thakker Multimedia Group.
A lot of TV ACTORs like Divyanka Tripathi and her husband Vivek Dahiya, Drashti Dhami, Vahbiz Dorabjee, Sweety Walia, Roshni Walia, Viraf Patel, Supriya Shukla, Aasiya Kazi, Muskaan Mihani Shobhani and Rajendra Chawla amongst others came out in support of the cause and chose to create awareness against the crime happening towards women in India and Worldwide.
15 Acid Attack victims were given “Bravery Awards” by the NGO, Maharashtra President TruptiVora. Commenting on the same she said “The event has been created to commemorate the resilience of acid attack victims. By doing so we wanted to show the world that it takes nothing but pure courage to fight the odds. If they can emerge victorious from their situations, we can do the same.”
Divyanka Tripathi, Drasthi Dhami, Vahbiz Dorabjee,Supriya Shukla, Sonali Jaffar were the other prominent TV PERSONALITIES who were felicitated with “INSPIRING WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS” by the NGO dignitaries like Firoze Memon, Mohak Gupta, Shiraaz Yoonus, Trupti Vora and others.
Divyanka Tripathi thanked PankitThakkerfor the award and said, “My hubby loved being a part of this event. I am happy he got this experience. We are deeply touched by the victims and the effort being taken for them. Social events bohot hotey hain, but the ones which move you emotionally remain close to your heart. This event was one of them.”
Vahbiz Dorabjee “The best way I have ever spent my Women's Day. Thank you Pankit Thakker and Trupti Vora for making me a part of such a good cause. I have learnt a lot today from the Acid Attack Women. They are not victims. They are survivors and after looking at them I feel I can survive anything in life. God Bless them !
